Oleana's collection consists of new designs along with those that have been in the collection for many years.  This constantly creates opportunities for new combinations and variations.  Many of the garments can be worn for both everyday and more formal occasions, depending on the accessories.  The collection consists of knitted garments, skirts, coats, belts, scarves, wrist-warmers--all produced in Oleana's own factory in Espeland, near Bergen, Norway.

The textile industry is the oldest industry in the world.  Oleana is one of the youngest factories in Norway and the only one of its kind that both knits ands sews everything that is produced in their own factory.  Oleana is located in Espeland, just outside Bergen, on the west coast of Norway.

Oleana takes pride in using only ecological natural fibers:  wool, silk, alpaca and cashmere; and emphasizes design and quality.  The people who bring Oleana garments to life believe that we need to buy fewer, but more beautiful clothes.

Designer, Solveig Hisdal, stands behind all of Oleana's designs.  You can recognise her signature in the floral ornaments and the beautiful and stunning color combinations.  Solveig Hisdal also authored, Poetry in Stitches:  Clothes You Can Knit, which includes knitting instructions and patterns for over 20 of her designs.

Tekstilindustrien er verdens eldste industri.  Oleana er en av de yngste tekstilfabrikkene i Norge og den eneste av sitt slag som både strikker og syr alt på egen fabrikk her i landet.  Vi holder til på espeland nær Bergen, midt in det gamle tekstilmiljøet hordaland.

Vi setter vår stolthet i å bruke økologisk forsvarlige naturfibre some ull, silke, alpakka og kasjmir.  Oleana legger også stor vekt på design og god kvalitet.  Vi er overbevist om at vi i vår del av verden må kjøpe færre, men vakrere klær.

Oleanas designer, Solveig Hisdal, står for alle mønstrene våre.  Du kan kjenne igjen signaturen hennes i blomsterornamentene og de spesielt vakre fargekombinasjonene.
